Hello All!
A few developments for updating.
MVM has reached a deadline we have set with version 1.0.
Yes , we made it and on time. We needed to tie ends and implement main requests and bugs as we experienced ourselves and of course with the great help of our “Pilot” involved clients.
We are now at our final stage one of development with a working and tested product.
Needed to re-site on “clean” servers and to start backing up daily as vessel data was adding up and a lot of effort was put into this by the crews involved.
We connected between the maintenance module , allowing job cards to be opened with request of equipment. This linked into an ERP system allowing purchase orders to be sent directly to the office and authorization + routing to take place from there.
Requests can be followed and on receiving , allocated into stock at chosen location.
We have added a menu allowing upload of all relevant Certificates of vessel with a built in alert reminding the necessary person in-charge of the expiring date.
We have limited upload size requiring a reasonable image , doc, pdf to be uploaded in-order to minimize upload time required. Future development will incorporate a plugin which should automatically resize according to the system . In the mean time we have used a free and opensource application which does the job remarkably well and easy.

TRY IT!!!!!
When you take an image onboard use settings reducing resolution to a min. there is no need for pictures in 4,5,6 Megabits. You aren’t going to do any enlargement jobs!!!!
Images of 7,10,15 KB are excellent and all you will need. (Do use the focus!! We had some experience with images sent for upload into a clients database of manufactures plates including S/N Manufactor Code etc… that where unreadable – not in focus when taken close up. (use Macro if necessary).
The need of supplying an outsource solution to vessel owners/management companies for uploading their database, ISM and ISPS systems, arose. MVM has concluded an agreement allowing future clients a reasonable quote for the above service. This will allow freeing the crew from the task and cutting the required time for setting up a unique vessel system to an affordable 2-3 weeks. The main reason lay with the need to invest with each client intensive sessions instructing them on the use of the system in the input mode.
MVM has invested heavily in the application user format with all ICONS now showing along side a “Help” balloon. Try clicking on the “right mouse button” and reaching quick menu function.
We have implemented graphic displays with a Flash application, again allowing the user clarity and understanding at a fraction of the previous required time.
MVM has now opened a site on YOUTUBE and we are uploading all relevant video clips concerning the application. This will also serve as a platform for remarks and to introduce “Bug reports” more efficiently. We at MVM believe in the product only when linked to our customers and receiving their feedback, remarks and acknowledgments for ever improving this tool.
Hoping this leads to better management with a much higher involvement in SAFTEY,ENVIRONMENT POLICY, EFFICENCY and cost cutting .
Most of Customers have opted for a system encapsulating the ISM,ISPS systems with us building and integrating them in the application . This brought on the request for uploading all vessel relevant documents i.e. Class certificates, Flag certificates, crew passports, seaman books, IMO,MCA , owner manuals etc.
Allowing access to this, required a new approach into the permission status module .
MVM has built a unique “RIGHTS” and authorized access module and takes every possible measure to safeguard all information on databases including regular daily backups.
